My Favorite Help Yo' Self Books

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going great. So around this time last summer I discovered something amazing and that is self help books. Yes, I said self help books. It started with one, and then another and now a new one.

Now I will be honest with you, I haven't actually read these books. I use the amazing Amazon Audible to listen to my books on my commute to work or if I go for a run. For a limited time only Amazon is allowing me to gift you guys with a Free Audible Trial which includes one free book. I will include that link at the end.

Here are my top 3 self-help books:

1- Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be

Y'all I am in love with this book! So this was my second book. I have heard many amazing things about Rachel Hollis and I follow her on Instagram so I decided why not. Wow, this book really opened up my eyes on a lot of things. Rachel Hollis's book shows the common lies that women may face when they are trying to find their way in this world. She is seriously determined to show how women should destroy the lies being told about them and face the world with self-confidence in themselves. This book is filled with the most motivational quotes such as, “You must choose to be happy, grateful, and fulfilled. If you make that choice every single day, regardless of where you are or what’s happening, you will be happy.” -Rachel Hollis.

2- Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-Free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals

This book! Oh my goodness this book! Okay, I am still listening to it but I have about 3 hours left. This is Rachel Hollis's second book so you will have to read her book first to truly understand it. This book is for those of us whose opinions keep us chasing our dreams. I'll admit that it was this book that made me start the blog and all because of a simple quote that Rachel Hollis said that went, “OPO, other people’s opinions. You down with it? Because if you are, you’re giving all your power away.”. The opinions of other's have stopped me from doing SO many things, including blogging earlier. But then I heard this and I swear it's like a switch went off in my head about caring what others think and bam, it's like I just kept doing things that I have always wanted to do without the fear of what other's thought.

3- You Are a Bada**®: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life

This was actually my first ever self-help book. I started listening to it when I was having a bug to start a blog. I told you guys I have wanted to start a blog for a while now. The author, Jen Sincero writes about becoming self-aware, figuring out what you want in life and then summoning the guts to not worry about the how-to kick others’ opinions to the curb and focus your life on the thing that will make you happy. My favorite quote from this book is, "You need to go from wanting to change your life to deciding to change your life." -Jen Sincero.
